France has a long history, developed science and technology, and it has high level of medium and long-term science and technology planning. France is Chinas third largest trading partner in the EU, the third largest source of actual investment, and the third largest technology importer. China is Frances largest trading partner in Asia and the sixth largest in the world.
Paris, the capital and largest city of France, is also the political, economic, cultural and commercial center of France. It is one of the five international metropolises in the world, and was rated as Alpha+ world first-tier city by GaWC. The northern suburbs of the city are mainly manufacturing areas. The most developed manufacturing projects include automobiles, electrical appliances, chemicals, medicine, and food. The peripheral urban areas mainly produce furniture, shoes, precision tools, optical instruments, etc. Paris also concentrates most of Frances large group companies and financial institutions.
The core strategy of Paris is to further strengthen the development of innovation and knowledge-based industries. Currently the worlds largest incubator Station F is located in Paris, with tens of thousands of start-ups and one of the regions with the lowest start-up failure rate in Europe. There are also quality startup hubs such as Anticafe (the largest co-working café in Europe), Kwerk, Deskopolitan and NUMA.
