Australian Regional Division of the 1st Innovation Competition of International Talents launches in Sydney

SYDNEY, Jan. 5 (Peoples Daily Online) – The Shenzhen Economic and Trade Office (SETO) launched the Australian Regional Division of the 1st Innovation Competition of International Talents in Sydney on January 5, 2016.
The 1st Innovation Competition of International Talents will gather the competition winners from Australia, Israel, Germany, Japan and the USA in Shenzhen in April. Details of the competition were disclosed at the media conference hosted by SETOs director and chief representative Mr Victor Wang.
Mr Jin Zhiyong, Consul for Science and Technology, Consulate-General of the Peoples Republic of China in Sydney, Ms Angela Vithoulkas, Councilor of City of Sydney, Mr Brent Clark, CEO of Wattblock and more than 20 media representatives, both Australian and Chinese, attended the media conference.
"We have a very strong Chinese community in City of Sydney. They are very active and innovative in our community," said Ms Vithoulkas.
"What a wonderful way to start this year by supporting an event that aims to deepen the international cooperation in innovation. An event like this would not only drive success through innovation, but also continue to strengthen the already strong ties between Australia, China, Sydney and Shenzhen," she said.
Those who win their Division and go to China for the Grand Final will also gain valuable experience and exposure and no doubt valuable connections and friendships. The people of Shenzhen will benefit from new blood and ideas flowing into their vibrant city, helping to keep them at the top.

The Australian division will be held on the 5th of April, 2016 and the final stage being the actual Grand Final in Shenzhen between the 14th and 18th of April, 2016.
