Entry Information

Please read the following Competition Entry Guidelines carefully before submitting your application. By clicking “Agree”, you are deemed to have accepted all the terms and conditions above. If a participant is found to be in violation of any provision, the Organizing Committee of the China (Shenzhen) Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Competition (hereinafter referred to as “the Competition”) reserves the right to revoke all the participant’s eligibility and benefits.

I. Please read the 10th China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition Manual carefully. Participants shall meet following requirements:

1.Overseas high-level entrepreneurial teams or individuals possessing innovative achievements and startup plans;

2.Currently reside overseas, or have not yet returned (or come) to work in China on a full‑time basis, intend to innovate and start businesses in Shenzhen or to cooperate with related industries in Shenzhen, and have not registered a business entity in Shenzhen nor serve as its legal representatives or shareholders;

3.Have clear ownership of the product, technology, or relevant patents of the participating project, and have no ownership disputes with any third party. Any liability arising from infringement shall be borne by the participants;

4.Participants and projects that have won awards in the first China (Shenzhen) Overseas Innovation Talent Competition or any previous editions of the China Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (including both domestic and international events) are not eligible to participate in this competition again;

5.If the participating team includes Chinese nationals who have studied or worked overseas, at least one member of the team must meet one of the following criteria:

(1)Hold a doctoral degree (domestic or overseas) and have either of the following experiences: ①after obtaining the doctoral degree, worked in a well‑known overseas university, research institution, or corporate R&D facility in the field of natural sciences or engineering; ②held a senior position in an internationally renowned company or an associate professor (or equivalent) or higher position in a well‑known overseas university/research institution.

(2)Hold a master’s degree or above obtained overseas, have overseas entrepreneurial experience or have held a mid‑to‑senior position in an internationally renowned company, and meet one of the following: ①possess internationally leading technological achievements or can fill domestic gaps, with high commercial potential; ②have developed independent innovative products that have attracted investment from venture capital firms.

(3)Hold a bachelor’s degree or above (domestic or overseas), have worked overseas for many years, and have held a senior technical position in an internationally renowned company.

II. The participant must have no record of violating laws, regulations, or public morals within the territory of China.

III. Qualified participants who advance to the Industry Finals and the Grand Final must comply with all arrangements made by the Organizing Committee and complete the corresponding competition stages on time.

IV. When registering, carefully read the industry category descriptions and select the category that best matches your project. Once registration is successful, the industry category cannot be changed.

V. Personal Information Protection and Usage Restrictions

1.The Organizing Committee shall not disclose or reveal any information provided by participants to any third party, except in the following circumstances:

As required by applicable laws and regulations;

As required by legal procedures of judicial authorities or other competent authorities;

As necessary to protect the property and interests of the Competition;

In emergencies to protect the safety of other participants or any third party;

Competition‑related enterprises or partners may, for legitimate purposes such as providing additional information or services to participants, conducting big‑data analytics and investigating online behavior, appropriately collect, process, store, transmit, and use personal information.

2.Participants must submit complete application materials and are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of all information provided. The registered name must match the name on passport or ID card. Failure to submit complete materials or inconsistencies in information may affect eligibility and prize collection. The roadshow representative must be a formal member of the participating team and may not be substituted by any other person.

3.Participants shall keep their account and password secure. The website assumes no responsibility for adverse consequences (including but not limited to personal information leakage) arising from improper use or force majeure.

4.The validity, interpretation, and dispute resolution of these terms shall be governed by the relevant laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China.

5.The Organizing Committee of the Competition reserves final interpretation right of these terms.
